A number of readers singled out Rex’s Seafood Market on Lover’s Lane as their favorite place in the area for seafood. DMN While I certainly won’t quibble with your choices of Spoon Bar and Kitchen, Driftwood and Truluck’s, I think you are leaving out the one seafood restaurant that is reminiscent of a simple, seaside, freshly-cooked-seafood restaurant: Rex’s Seafood Market. Since Newport’s Seafood and Steaks closed, it is Dallas’s most reliable and delicious seafood place. Anthony Perri, Dallas We like Rex’s Seafood Market. David’s Seafood Grill in Cedar Hill is closer for us and more affordable. David Wilson, the chef, often roams the room and checks on your dining experience, sometimes offering complementary samples of soups or appetizers. David’s is also family-friendly for when we have the grandkids along. When salmon are in season, I challenge you to find a better prepared sauce and presentation at any price! Jana Vick, DeSoto TJ’s Seafood Market is the best seafood restaurant in town. Freshest fish. Delicious shrimp the size of prawns. Top lobster roll in town. Crawfish cooked Cajun-style. Creative and amazing side dishes. I could go on and on about this gem of a restaurant. People who have not dined at TJ’s should do so immediately.
